Individual Flood Damage Cleaning Services
Our flood damage cleaning experts are available for clients across the nation, including Swanley.
We’ll include our ICE SHIELD® service free of charge for all flood damage cleaning customers.
If you are one of the five million people living in high-risk flood areas in the UK, you are more likely to experience a flood than a burglary. Flash floods can bring floods that measure up to twenty feet in height, causing complete devastation to homes and leaving homeowners without shelter for days. Without immediate remediation, your property could be left to stagnate with polluted water and mould growth.
Here at ICE Cleaning, we restore your home with our flood damage cleaning services. Our expert technicians utilise state-of-the-art equipment and industrial-grade solutions, efficiently drying, decontaminating, and cleaning your home. Our cleaners can be on-site within a few hours in an emergency and will make your property a safe place to reside again.
You can either give us a call at 03335775805 or email us at enquiries@iceelectrical.co.uk to find out more about the full range of industrial cleaning services available for customers in Swanley.

All excess water is drained from your property before the drying and decontamination process begins. All polluted or contaminated surfaces are cleaned, making your property virus-free. If you are unhappy with the results, we remain on-site until the outcome meets your expectations.
Where to find your local flood map
Finding your local flood map is the best approach to evaluating the flood risk on your property. These will predict the likelihood of floods and the most vulnerable areas.
In addition to updating the risk as our climate changes, it helps property owners understand the hazards and how to prepare for floods. Every country will have a unique flood map, which you may find by clicking on one of the links below:
What can make a flood worse?
Flooding is an event of nature, but because of human activity, the way water drains has changed, increasing the likelihood of a flood. Urbanisation has exacerbated floods due to excessive rainfall and a lack of natural drainage systems.
There are fewer natural channels for water to drain because impermeable materials like brick and concrete cannot absorb water to safeguard infrastructure. Urbanisation has caused waterways to narrow, resulting in rivers that are too narrow to hold excess rainfall during storms.
Flooding also occurs because of dry or saturated soils that cannot absorb water following intense storms or heat waves. These conditions are triggered by climate change and a worldwide increase in temperature.
We cover all areas in the Sevenoaks District in Kent, including:
- Ash
- Brasted
- Chipstead
- Crockenhill
- Edenbridge
- Fawkham
- Four Elms
- Hever
- Horton Kirby
- New Ash Green
- Otford
- Penhurst
- Sevenoaks
- Underriver
- Westerham
What are the differences between blackwater and greywater?
Depending on the source and how the flood happened, the type of water present might change. Blackwater is present in floods brought on by clogged drains and sewage, whereas greywater may be in floods brought on by natural water bodies like rivers or reservoirs.
Identifying the type of flood will help you determine the water and gauge how much cleaning is necessary if it seeped into your property.
Clearwater
This water is usually free of toxins or waste; however, it still causes property damage through common leaks or appliance failure. Even in the absence of contaminants, clear water can promote mould growth.
Grey Water
Water flushed from a sink, washing machine, bathtub, or shower, is included in this category. Typically, this won't include toilet water, although there are exceptions. Water butts also collect grey water and utilise it to water plants due to the natural nutrition present.
Blackwater
This wastewater incorporates water flushed out of bathrooms and toilets that contain human waste. Due to the pollutants and grease present, water from the kitchen or dishwasher sinks is referred to as "blackwater." Being around this sort of water raises the possibility of contracting a sickness or disease.
